Linda and I stopped for a break today and noticed a farmer working his plot across the road. He walked over to visit and was had excellent English skills. He first assured us he was not a farmer but a peasant meaning he worked his land by hand.
When I asked about family he described 8 children and two wives assuring us this was normal in Tanzania. His kids range from 6 to 44 years old and his younger wife was 20 when they married.
He asked how old I was. With me 72 and him at 71 he felt I still had potential. He quietly indicated Linda had less potential.
