Departing camp, we rode next to a brand new road that was incomplete and not open to any traffic yet.
This transitioned into a slightly wider road that was in decently good condition for most of the day.
We passed through many villages. Once again, we were a curiosity to all the children and adults in the villages and countryside as we pedaled by.
Relatively new construction for Tanzania, but likely not financed by the GOP.
It was Sunday and churches leave their doors open, allowing the music to flow out.
Our long, but not winding road that undulated like a very stretched out sine wave.
We encounter cattle, goats, sheep, often herded by boys as young as eight years old. The animals are very docile and not fazed by us.
If we make a stop anywhere, it is not hard to quickly attract a crowd.
Just outside a village. Older buildings have corrugated tin roofs. Newer buildings have brightly colored, steeply pitched roofs.

In the early evening, a team came out to practice on the half of the field that we were not camping on.
Some of us ventured across the street to a small pub for a beer after dinner. Translated from Swahili, the sign says “we receive orders for various events and make deliveries”.
