Regular traveler rests are available along our Nile trail. Not sure if they are set up by the government or are local hospitality. This one has outlets to charge a phone sported by many of our donkey riding fellow traveler. Drinking water is in the urns which have a porous exterior for evaporative cooling. Someone keeps them full from the handwash taps and a cup is provided. The toilets are Asian style and are quite clean with a hose for wash down and personal hygiene. We had a shower head above the Asian toilet in our last primitive camp and, after I hosed it down and got over standing in the toilet to shower, it worked quite well. We have not braved the drinking water.
