Morning at Maasai Bush Camp.
116 km ride with 900 m elevation gain, 27°C high temperature. Although projected to be overcast for most of the day, it was actually sunny.

We found Jeff changing a flat tire only a few kilometers from camp. Mount Kilimanjaro is barely visible in the background.

All day long, we had progressively better and better views of Kili (as Mt. Kilimanjaro is affectionately called).

No way to predict when this situation will be rectified.
300 m steady elevation gain in the last 10 km, but the graph on Ride with GPS made it look much worse than it really was.
Destination was Kili Bush Camp, our second bush camp in a row. Some riders swapped out their narrower tires for wider ones as there reportedly will be rough unpaved roads the next two consecutive riding days.

End of another day. Mt. Meru is to the left.
We will be crossing the border into Tanzania tomorrow, our 5th country.
